Literature Text

I tiptoe across the water, knowing I cannot swim,
For you.

The rain that makes you tremble so- I freeze it,
For you.

Cruel faces hewn by the wind, on rocks as tall as a starry night
I crush them into stones so precious,
For you.

The gods created oceans, continents
And everything in between
Merely to keep us apart
Yet those power-hungry creatures, too engrossed
In their creation, they forgot
The thing that keeps us connected- our heart.

So remember me
When you gaze upon the snow collecting at your window
As the rain I froze, to allow you to slumber
The frustration crackling inside from being so far-
The lightning flashes, crashes and thunder.
